Gary Hoover / Partner, Private Equity
Gary Hoover is a Partner at EFESO within the Private Equity practice in North America. With more than 35 years of global leadership and consulting experience, Gary is a trusted advisor to leading private equity investors, delivering impact across the full investment cycle—from diligence through value creation and exit planning.
Gary began his career in operations at Intel Corporation, where he honed his leadership in semiconductor manufacturing. He transitioned to consulting with TBM Consulting Group, where he led high-impact global engagements and directed the firm’s EMEA/India operations. His operational leadership extended to ESAB, where he led the Americas division.
Returning to TBM, Gary launched the Private Equity practice, leading more than 40 transformation engagements over nine years. His work drove over $1B+ in value creation and included numerous operational due diligence projects. His areas of expertise include Operational Due Diligence, Value Creation Planning, Lean Transformation, and Operations Strategy.
Gary’s client roster includes some of the most respected names in private equity and industry. He has worked closely with portfolio companies across a range of sectors—from building products and packaging to medical devices and industrial manufacturing.
Gary holds an M.B.A. in Operations and Finance from Vanderbilt University (Owen School of Management) and a B.A. in History from West Virginia University. He is fluent in English and conversational in German.
