James C. Metro / Partner, Mining, Metals & Minerals Sector Leader
James C. Metro leads EFESO’s Mining, Metals & Minerals sector in the Americas, bringing 28+ years of global experience across the end-to-end value chain—from extraction and processing through refining, manufacturing, and logistics.
He partners with executive teams to deliver step-change improvements in safety, throughput, cost, capital efficiency, and EBITDA by aligning strategy and operating models with disciplined execution, enabled by fit-for-purpose digital and asset strategies.
James has led multi-site turnarounds, mine planning and scheduling optimization (integrated life-of-mine planning, short-interval control, and end-to-end production planning alignment), fixed plant and mobile equipment Maintenance & Reliability excellence (asset strategies, execution management systems, and uptime/availability improvement), and supply chain optimization across inventory, warehouses, maintenance materials, and logistics—along with large-scale processing performance programs, capital program resets, and workforce transformations that translate operational complexity into measurable results.
His expertise spans Operational Excellence, Integrated Business Planning (S&OP / SIOP), Enterprise Asset Management, Maintenance & Reliability, Capital Deployment, Supply Chain optimization, and technology-enabled transformation.
James holds a B.S. in Business Administration (Niagara University) and an A.A.S. in Management (Hawaii Pacific University) and is currently completing his M.B.A. at SUNY Oswego. He is a Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and a Project Management Professional (PMP).
