Argo Consulting partnered with Chemical Week to survey global chemical process industry executives on best practices and more specifically what they are doing today to improve ESG performance, reduce carbon emissions and waste in existing operations.
The survey found that improving ESG in operations remains a work in progress for 49% of respondents, 11% said they did not have a formal ESG operations strategy in place and some 39% said there is a strategy already in place.
The article quotes Argo’s Chuck Deise, senior vice president and partner, chemical process industries:
“Simply stated the goal is to do more with less. A highly optimized network and footprint with effective work processes will enhance asset, resource and logistics utilization and use substantially less carbon and water. The most efficient and advantaged companies are clearly those that generate the most value from the fewest overall resources. A robust Operational Excellence Program is imperative to accelerate ESG improvement, and significantly increase your bottom line”.
