David Sedge / Partner, Chemical Industry
David brings over 26 years of experience in process industry, having held various global operational and functional leadership roles. He has built strong, trusted relationships with clients and internal stakeholders, consistently delivering exceptional outcomes and executing strategic initiatives. David leads all aspects of client engagements – from negotiation to project closure – for both private and public companies, maintaining close relationships with CEO and Executive Committee-level clients.
Before joining EFESO Management Consultants, David served as President of ICR, a private equity-backed technology business, where he reported to the group CEO and was responsible for managing the company’s growth across the US, Canada, Latin America, and the Caribbean. Prior to that, David spent 12 years with Wood, a global engineering leader, where he held roles such as VP of Growth & Development for the Operations business unit, leading the growth strategy for a $650M revenue business. He also served as Group Technical Assurance Director and VP of Gulf of Mexico Operations.
David began his career at bp and GE, holding leadership roles across the UK, Africa, Asia, Europe, and Australia. Known for his strong communication skills, he has reported directly to C-suite executives and built collaborative relationships with internal teams and clients to drive results.
His expertise spans executive leadership, sales and operational excellence, operations management, business transformation, growth strategy, talent development, risk management, negotiation, influencing, and continuous improvement. He excels in solving complex problems, fostering trusted relationships, and delivering shared success.
David is an incorporated mechanical engineer and a member of both the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. He holds an MBA from Louisiana State University (LSU) and a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from Robert Gordon University (RGU). Actively engaged with industry and governmental bodies, he serves on the board of the Deepwater Operations advisory panel and is a Global Scot for Scottish Development International (SDI).
