Industry Advisor – Petrochemical Sector
Bill Greene has over 40 years of experience in the Petrochemical industry. He has held various roles in Engineering, Maintenance, and Production in DuPont’s Nylon Intermediates and Automotive Finishes Businesses, and Site Leadership Role in DuPont’s Polyethylene Business.
NOVA purchased DuPont’s Polyethylene Business in 1994, and Bill was assigned to NOVA Gas Transmission Executive Leadership Team and led the pipeline and compression maintenance efforts on over 20,000 Km of pipeline delivering approximately 80% of Canadian natural gas production, as Vice President of Facilities Maintenance.
In 1996, Bill relocated to Pittsburgh and held various Manufacturing Vice President positions in NOVA’s Styrenics and Polyethylene Businesses.
In 2009, he was assigned to NOVA’s Executive Leadership Team reporting to the CEO and the Board, and led the Polyolefin Manufacturing, Engineering, Procurement, and Logistic teams as Senior Vice President – Operations, and Chair of the NOVA Responsible Care Committee. He retired from NOVA in June 2016.
Bill received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from McGill University in Montreal, Canada.
