Major General Scott is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Corps of Engineers. He has served in a variety of assignments in Infantry and Armored Divisions in the United States and Germany and has commanded at the company, battalion, and brigade levels. General Scott has received 14 military decorations including the Army Distinguished Service Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster. After retiring from the military, General Scott held positions as Vice President, ITT Defense and President, ITT Defense International. He currently serves as the President and CEO of The George and Carol Omsted Foundation.
In addition to his BS from West Point, General Scott is an Olmsted Scholar and received a Master of International Business Relations equivalent from the Universitaet Freiburg, FRG. He also holds a Masters in Public Administration from Harvard University.
